Dark Hallow Falls Trail

Dark Hallow Falls is the easiest waterfall to walk to in Shenandoah National Park.

The round trip is only 1.4 miles. Walking to the waterfall is easy because it is all down hill. The hike back up is harder because it is fairly steep in some places, but it never gets too difficult. We took our time, enjoyed all there was to see along the way, and we let Ralph decide when we needed to stop for a bit.

We finished the hike in under an hour. After our stop at the Dark Hallow Falls Trail, we drove down to the South River picnic area to have dinner. Chris grilled hamburgers, and the boys ran around. After dinner, we headed back to the hotel ready for a good night's sleep. We left the hotel early the next morning for home.
