Yarn Along

I am joining Ginny at Small Things for Yarn Along this week.

It has been a month since I participated in Yarn Along. In that time, I knitted five dishcloths. It was fun trying different stitch patterns, but I was ready to move on to something else. Yesterday I started knitting a baby blanket. I enjoy knitting with Cotton-Ease by Lion Brand yarn. It is not fancy or expensive, but it is nice to knit with and comes in pretty colors. Maybe one day I will make more adventurous purchase of some seriously yummy yarn, but for now my husband thanks me for my  responsible purchases.

Right now I am reading Kilmeny of the Orchard. I am about halfway through, and I am enjoying it. I have been a great fan of Lucy Maud Montgomery since I first read about Anne when I was young. Lucy Maud Montgomery's writing is pleasing and eloquent. When I read one of her books, I feel as if I  am on Prince Edward Island, walking through orchards and fields, listening to fiddle music and having a delightful meal with interesting people.

Please visit Ginny and the other talented ladies that link up for Yarn Along. You will not be disappointed.
