Yarn Along

Joining Ginny for Yarn Along this week.
I took a break from blogging, but not from knitting. So glad to be back!

I have several projects on my needles right now, but I am happily working on this little vest for my new nephew. I am just using the knowledge that I gained over the last two years to write this pattern as I knit. Or I should probably say that I am winging it!

Those are two diamonds on the front with a garter border. Very basic. I think the back will look the same without the diamonds or maybe I will just knit it all in garter stitch. I am just using stash yarn. It is Lion Brand Amazing in Rainforest.

I am currently reading The Bible in 90 Days and Cravings: A Catholic Wrestles with Food, Self-Image, and God. I started reading The Bible in 90 Days on Ash Wednesday and I am already into Leviticus. I have been reading Cravings for several weeks, a little each night before bed, and I really like. It has given me a few new things to reflect on.

Have a great week!

  1. I will have to look for cravings...sounds interesting. Beautiful knitting!!

  2. Writing your own pattern, yikes! Basic or not that takes guts and if it was me - a whole lot of patience!

    1. I have tried several times to write patterns and have become so frustrated that I quit. But this little vest is coming along nicely. Maybe that is because I am thinking of my cute nephew as I knit!

  3. Good to see you back! I went onto your blog awhile ago and it said you had gone private. Hope all is well! I'm doing the 90 Bible Challenge at the Year of Faith site. I'm behind but not giving up. Hope your Bible in 90 Days is going well too! : )

    1. I did make it private for a month or so when I was deciding whether to start blogging again. I am staying on track so far with my reading, but some mornings that I have to put it down before I finish my 12 pages and come back to it later in the day. I am glad you are not giving up!

Thanks for visiting and taking the time to leave a friendly comment! :-)
