What I Wore the Day After My Birthday

Or the title could be What I Could Not Wear After My Birthday and Easter Week! UGH!
Seriously, I am in trouble ladies. My scale told me that I am 13 pounds heavy today. Yes, 13 pounds! My clothes are all too tight. Even my "big" stuff is tight.

Time to get back on track. The celebrating has to stop.

Well, after I finish off the last piece of  my birthday cheesecake! Yummy! After all, my birthday only happens once a year!

What I squeezed into this morning:

I am thinking, "I hope I don't look like I feel".

The details are boring. Everything is from Kohl's. The black top and capris are old, but the shoes and cardigan were bought two weeks ago.

Today is a gorgeous day. Sunny and warm, but it is quite windy. Holden tried to take my picture outside, but my hair was flying wildly around in the wind so we had to take a picture inside.

I wish I had some meaningful thoughts to share with you today, but I am a loss.
Thirteen pounds!

Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather today. I am going to spend some of the afternoon out in the garden. It really needs some TLC.

But if you are not enjoying beautiful weather, then I hope you are enjoying your family in the comfort and warmth of your home!

A big thank you to the lovely ladies at Fine Linen and Purple.

  1. Your sweater is such s pretty shade of green, and it looks great with your dark hair. You look pretty--don't worry about the 13 pounds!

    Happy Birthday! :)

  2. happy birthday to you!
    you look great!
    awesome raised beds too.

  3. Ohhh cheesecake. SO delicious, and with some redeeming value - fruit AND protein from the cheese!

I really like the pattern & color on your cardigan. And those raised beds look great! We're hoping to add some next year - I think this year we're too busy to do much besides herbs...

    1. Thanks!
Fresh herbs are so satisfying to grow and are so flavorful.

  4. Happy Birthday! I love the green sweater. And, your garden beds looks so much better than mine do right now . .. working on getting all the weeds out too!

    1. Thank you, Katie.
My beds are finally weed free! I can't wait to start planting.

  5. Oooo ... raised beds. Wish I had room for some. Yours look like they would encompass my entire back yard.

That green looks so lovely on you. Don't fret about the weight. I never would have guessed.

    1. Thanks, Shannon.
Do you container garden? My father-in-law grows a lot of things in pots on wire shelves.

Thanks for visiting and taking the time to leave a friendly comment! :-)
