Yarn Along

Last week I found out that a good friend of mine is having a baby girl. I started knitting a Garden Trellis Dress for her daughter with sock yarn that I had in my stash.

The feather and fan border was a breeze, but I could not wrap my brain around the diamond eyelet chart. I had to rip the dress back three times, the last time I ripped back about 30 rows, so I gave up on it. I had finally figured out what I was doing wrong, but I just was ready for some safe straight knitting. I do like this pattern, so I think I will knit another one with the diamond eyelet at another time.

I am currently reading Worthy: See Yourself As God Does, written by Amanda Mortus. I bought it on my Kindle last week after reading a couple reviews. I have read about a quarter of it, and I am enjoying it.

I finished the vest for my nephew. I wrote about it here

We are driving down to the beach today. This is the first day trip of many for us this summer. We are very excited!

  2. Such pretty colors you're knitting with. Hope you pick the eyelet back up again now that you get it. :)
