7 Quick Takes (vol. 6)

1. Tomorrow is my wedding anniversary. Stop by tomorrow if you want to know all the details about how we met. Just to give you an idea of how the story goes, I almost titled it "He was a fighter, and I was a grouch".

2. I won't get to spend my anniversary with my husband. He has to work, and I have my sister-in-law's baby shower to go to. Oh well, maybe we will manage to sneak away for a bit on Sunday.

3. I have been knitting a few baby items for my sister-in-law's baby shower. I have a little sweater still on the needles. I hope I can finish it in time.

4. On Monday, I made chocolate chip rosaries for our celebration of Our lady of the Rosary. The boys loved it! Thanks, Kendra, for the idea!

5. A friend and I spent quite a bit of time this summer praying about and developing a weekly co-op program. Originally we had the parish priest's support, but recently he changed his mind. We are disappointed and continue to pray about it.

6. I won a giveaway this week! I was so surprised. It was hosted by Lisa at Happy in Dole Valley. She has a lovely blog. It is full of yummy recipes, beautiful knits, and family life.

7. Abigail at Abigail's Alcove found out this week that she lost her baby at 14 weeks gestation. They named him Leo. Will you join me in praying for her and her family?

  1. Oh, your knitting is adorable! (I just started knitting this week!) As a former K-12 homeschooled student, co-ops are really great and I highly encourage you to do what you need to do to get one going. They are invaluable for both the kids and the parents. At least, that's my experience! :-)
