Yarn Along

I am still knitting my super soft baby Alpaca scarf in the Fir Cone lace pattern from Super Stitches Knitting, written by Karen Hemingway.

Last night I finished reading Pope Awesome and Other Stories, written by Cari Donaldson. It is hilarious, heartwarming, and faith-filled. I enjoyed reading it.

Also, I am reading a chapter a day from Way To Happiness, written by Fulton J. Sheen. I found my copy in my grandparent's house, and I think it is an original copy from 1953. Way To Happiness is full of wisdom and counsel. Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen was declared Venerable in 2012. You can read more about that here.

  1. Way to Happiness is a great book! I read it years ago. What wisdom.

Your scarf is coming along real nice:-)

  2. I can't wait to read Pope Awesome! It looks...well, awesome.

  3. Wow - your lace looks nice now - it's going to look *awesome* when it's blocked!

  4. Beautiful scarf. I love the pattern, and that really is a brilliant blue.

  5. Such a beautiful stitch pattern you're knitting and such a pretty colorway! Can't wait to see it when it's all finished. :) Sounds like some inspiring reading you've got going...
    Blessings, ~Lisa :)
