Daybook 2014

I am thankful for:
~ protection from the wind and rain
~ a dry basement
~ a hard working husband
~ a full pantry
~ quiet time
~the boys

I am listening to:
~ the wind outside my window
~ the pump in the basement kick on
~ the convection oven as it bakes blueberry pecan oatmeal

I am praying:
~ for my family
~ for Beth and her sweet baby
~ to become fully the woman God wants me to be

I am pondering:
~ my word of the year and current Bible verse

I am reading:
~ my Bible
~ A Million Little Ways
~ Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone with Thomas and Ralph

In the schoolroom:
After two full weeks off from school, we are jumping back into our regular school schedule. I am looking forward to it, but I wish the boys were a little more excited. We have our homeschool group meeting this Friday. We are all looking forward to seeing our friends. Thomas received a crystal growing kit for Christmas. He has started growing two crystals, and he plans to grow more soon. It has been a fun and educational experience so far.

In the craft room:
~ knitted dishcloths
~ a new cross stitch kit

Around the house:
Chris and I have plans to paint several rooms over the next couple of months. I have written a new twenty day dinner menu, and a new house cleaning chart. I will start following both of them this week.

  3. "...to become fully the woman God wants me to be" -- I like that; may I borrow it for my own prayer?

  4. I love those knitted dishclothes. My aunt makes them for all the women every year for Christmas and I try to scoop up as many as I can!
