7 Quick Takes (vol.12)

1.  I cut out twenty shamrocks for a craft project for the younger children in our homeschool group yesterday.

2. While I was cutting them out, I remembered this post from 2011 about how we celebrated St. Patrick's Day. The boys have grown so much.

3. Then I came across a post I wrote about some of our favorite Irish tales

4. I have an appointment with a new gynecologist next week. My new doctor is a devout Catholic, and we are parishioners at the same church. Recently, I felt like I should make the switch, but I was a patient of my old doctor for many years, so I was hesitant to start over with a new doctor. Well, I received a phone call this week from the diagnostic coordinator at my original doctor's office. She informed me that my doctor was moving at the end of the month, and she would be unable to perform my hysterosalpingogram. I was surprised at first, but then I was filled with peace because I truly believe that God wants me to see the new doctor. Could you pray that my appointment goes well, please?

5. Do you give your children a daily probiotic? Do you take one? We did not get the awful stomach virus that was plaguing everyone this winter, and I believe that our daily probiotic helped us stay healthy. We love Nature's Plus - Animal Parade Acidophikidz, 90 chewable tablets.

6. Since I did not write a Yarn Along post this week, here is a picture of the progress I made on my knitting projects this week.

7. K5 Learning has an online reading and math program for kindergarten to grade 5 students.  I've been given a 6 week free trial to test and write a review of their program.  If you are a blogger, you may want to check out their  open invitation to write an online learning review of their program.

  1. Looks like a fun craft craft project with all those shamrocks!

We don't take a daily probiotic, but we do eat boatloads of yogurt, so I'm hoping that's good enough. I go back and forth on taking supplements. Sometimes we take a lot, and sometimes not many at all (usually depends on our budget .:))

    Prayers for your doctor's appointment

    1. Thanks for the prayers, Amelia.

I do not remember to take my supplements every day. I remember about 85% of the time. I agree that they can make a dent in the budget. They are not a fix for a poor diet, but after reading books like Fertility, Cycles, and Nutrition and The Hormone Cure, I believe that some supplements are necessary for my family.

  2. The dresses you are knitting are darling.
May God bless your new fitness regimen give you success!

  3. I like the books you chose in #3. The Blackbird's Nest and Jamie O'Rourke are a couple of our favorites, too!

Happy that I found your blog ... now following you on Google+. :o)
