7 Quick Takes (vol.13)

1. I met with the pro-life Catholic doctor that I mentioned last week. She is awesome. I know that God wants me under her care. The bonus is that she has a woman come twice a month from Virginia to her office to teach the Creighton Model Fertility Care System. She will be at the office on Tuesday, and my doctor is trying to fit me in to see her. I am so excited!

2. Ralph lost two teeth. He was so happy to lose them. He is full of gaps in the front of his mouth now.

3. My new favorite thing to eat every morning is something that I call Coconut Chia Breakfast Pudding. I think it is very yummy, and I look forward to it every day. It is very filling and keeps me satisfied for hours.

I mix one can of lite coconut milk, 1/4 cup chia seeds, 1/4 cup rolled oats, and 1 teaspoon of Truvia baking blend in a glass container at night before bed. In the morning, it is thick and creamy and delicious. It makes two to three servings, depending on how hungry I am.

4. Today we met our homeschool group at a nature center. The kids had a great time looking at the displays, handling turtles and playing with play-doh. Then we headed outside to walk the trails and visit for several hours. Thankfully, the weather is warming up, and we had a lovely day. We love spending time with our homeschool group.

5. While we were together today, we discussed starting Blue Knights and Little Flowers groups. Of course, we continue to talk about starting a co-op, but it seems like God is still asking us to wait on that. We all agree that we want to make the time to get together more often and do more things as a group. We moms are getting together for dinner on Monday to discuss a few ideas we have for the group. I am looking forward to it!

6. I took a break from my knitting yesterday to make a decade rosary bracelet. I think it turned out beautiful, if I do say so myself. Would you like to have it, or maybe a St. Rita bracelet, or a St. Dymphna bracelet? Check back on Monday for a little giveaway.

7. My new fearless Bible quote is Psalm 56:3-4.

  2. That is a gorgeous bracelet! I used to a wear one of those wooden bracelets with the pictures of saints. It was elastic, which is great because I have very small wrists. Then it broke, so I replaced it. Then *that* one broke, but the replacement I ordered from the same company was of such poor quality that I sent it back.

I was just thinking a few weeks ago about how much I miss having that bracelet. You've inspired me to go in search of another! I have to try it out in person (because of the small wrist thing), but that won't be impossible. Hooray!
