Happy Easter, Video Games, and French {AMT and WIWS}

1. What did you and your family wear to Mass on Easter Sunday?

2. Easter Bunny: thumbs up or thumbs down?

   Thumbs up. We do the Easter Bunny in our home. I think the Easter Bunny adds to the joy of Easter. Earlier this week I wrote about our favorite Easter Bunny story, The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes (Sandpiper Books). You can read it here.

3. Do you prefer to celebrate holidays at your own house or at someone else's house?

   I love to have our family over to our house, but we usually spend our holidays away from home. Chris is the oldest of five children. His younger sister, Kelly, and her husband have eight children. They usually have all of us over to their house, but they do not do all of the cooking. Everyone brings several dishes with them, and we help clean up before we leave. It is always a fun time!

4. What is your favorite kind of candy?

   I love candy! It is hard to pick just one. My favorite candies usually have dark chocolate and nuts or peppermint flavor. My favorite Easter candy is the Russell Stover Coconut Nest. Yum! Yum! Yum!

5. Do you like video games?

   I have played video games in the past and enjoyed it, but playing video games is not something I usually choose to do in my free time. When Chris and I were dating in high school, we played Super Mario Brothers and Sonic together. When I was eighteen, I lived with a family as their nanny. They had four daughters, and we played Donkey Kong on the weekends. When Ralph was an infant, I played Animal Crossing: City Folk while I nursed him. It was fun to fish, plant flowers, and shop! Our boys play video games. I wrote about how we manage video games in our home. You can read about it here.

6. Do you speak another language?

   No. I took two years of French in high school, but I only remember a few words and phrases. I want to relearn it, but I have not made the time yet.
