Coffee, Germany, Tears,and Heels {AMT & WIWS}

1. Are you becoming your mother?

No. My mother did not raise me. I wrote about our relationship here. My grandmother raised me, but it was not a happy situation. I wrote about my grandmother on Friday.

2. Coffee or tea?

Both.

I love a fresh, hot cup of coffee first thing in the morning. I like my coffee strong. Sometimes I drink it black and sometimes I add a splash of half and half.

I like tea in the evenings. I enjoy a cup of Bigelow Sweet Dreams Herbal Tea before bed most nights.

3. What foreign country would you like to visit?

I would love to visit Germany. Chris lived there for a couple years when he was in middle school. His Opa, his dad's father, still lives there. I think it would be fun to go there with Chris. We could spend time with his family there, and we could visit all of the places that he has such fond memories about, such as the town square where he and his brother and sister used to break dance.

4. Do you cry easily?

Yes, very easily. I cry while reading books, watching movies, while having conversations about sensitive subjects. I cry about happy occasions, sad situations, and embarrassing moments. My crying moments are not always weeping, full of tears. Most of the time, I can keep my tears under control. But I find my eyes tearing up often!

5. How often do you wear heels?

Real heels? Maybe once or twice a year. I do wear wedges more often, probably about 20% of the time. Chris is 6'2" and I am 5'4", so you might think that I would wear heels more often to bridge the gap, but Chris does not like heels because he thinks they look uncomfortable and a wee bit dangerous. I am most comfortable in flats, so I am fine wearing them.

6. Do you play an instrument?

I do not. I would love to learn to play the harp, the mandolin, and the piano, but not enough to sign up for lessons! Ha! Maybe I will when I am older.

This is what I wore to Mass

cardigan:JCPenney
t-shirt: Walmart
skirt: Lane Bryant (very old)
shoes: Kohl's
bracelets: Lia Sophia (old)
St. Gerard and Crucifix: blessed and well loved

Tomorrow I am continuing my discussion of the book Fascinating Womanhood, written by Helen Andelin. I would love you to join me! The first two posts can be found here and here.
