In My Thoughts and on My Heart {Five Favorites}

I have spent a large portion of my time with my mother and my aunts and uncle at my grandmother's bedside. On Friday, they moved her from the hospital to the local hospice center. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been praying for my grandmother and my family. I know that they are being answered. Yesterday, Father came to give my grandmother the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. My mother, my aunts, my uncle, and myself all stood around my grandmother as Father prayed. For most of us, it brought peace to our hearts. I will be with her again today. I appreciate your continued prayers.

I am supposed to be resting at home right now, but I can not fall asleep so I decided to update the blog. Here are five of my current favorite things.

1. The Rosary/Divine Mercy Chaplet app on my Kindle.  It is called My Rosary. It is easy to use, and I enjoy the music that accompanies it.

2. This picture of my grandparents. They were a handsome couple.

3. This song. It keeps popping into my head throughout the day.

4. The World of Cross Stitching magazine. It is published in the UK, and it is full of cute, fun, and happy cross stitch patterns. Looking through my copies helps to keep my spirits up.

5. My Tervis insulated tumbler. It keeps my water ice cold.

  1. I will be praying for your grandmother. That is a beautiful picture of them - so much personality and style.

  2. Look at your grandmother! Whenever I see photos from that era, I think everyone looks like a movie star! Just beautiful.

    1. I feel the same way about pictures from that era. :)

  3. I will pray for your grandmother and your whole family.

  4. Praying for your family. Chaplet of Divine Mercy is my favorite.

  5. I just love the picture of your grandparents! I have pictures like that of my grandparents and they are just my favorite. People were just so beautiful back then. People are beautiful now, but there is just something about they way they look in these old pictures. Just lovely. :)

Thanks for visiting and taking the time to leave a friendly comment! :-)
