Books To Read About Teaching Your Children At Home

I am spending two days at a homeschool conference this weekend, and I am looking forward to listening to the talks and checking out the vendor tables.

The internet is very useful for researching ideas, philosophies, and how too instructions, but there is something wonderful about having a real book in your hand. A book you can dog-ear, highlight, and carry everywhere you go.

Here is a list of the books that I and some of my friends have found most helpful along our homeschool journey. This list is nowhere near complete, but I think these books are a great starting point for parents new to the homeschooling world.

There are two newer homeschooling books that I feel deserve an honorable mention.

The first one I read when it was new, and I enjoyed it, but it wasn't really for me since I had been homeschooling for many years. I think it is perfect for someone that is considering homeschooling or just starting out.

Teaching in Your Tiara: A Homeschooling Book for the rest of Us

The other book is very new, and I have not read it yet, but that is only because I am currently reading three books. I am sure this book will be an excellent resource for homeschooling parents.

Teaching from Rest: A Homeschooler's Guide to Unshakable Peace
