Summer Stitching Stash Blast #8 {link-up}

It is week eight and the halfway point of the Summer Stitching Stash Blast.

Things have been silent around the blog and for good reason. I am enjoying my summer! Our vacation to Maine was fantastic. Truly, we had a wonderful time and can not wait to vacation there again one day. I had intended to write up a little recap last week about my vacation, but I was busy all week with house cleaning, knitting, a doctor's appointment, a play date, a beach day, and a birthday party. I have been very busy lately and enjoying every minute of it.

While I was in Maine, I did not work on my cross stitch as I had planned, but I did manage to knit several inches of my Ericka scarf. I didn't realize how much I missed knitting until I picked it up and started stitching. It was a last minute decision to bring it with me and one that I am so glad that I made. Once home, I started working on the housewarming blanket that I started several months ago for a friend. She is visiting her mother here n town for the next five weeks, so I hope to have it finished for her before she heads back to her new house in Ohio.

I will continue to knit while also working on my embroidery and cross stitching projects. I hope to get many of these projects finished over the next eight weeks.

What have you been working on lately? Link-up below.

The rules:

- Write a blog post showcasing your current and recently completed needlework and sewing projects. If you would like to combine your stitching post with another topic, such as a daybook, weekend happenings, book review or what your wore to church, that is cool with me.

- Any post that is not about needlework, sewing, or stitching in some form will be removed from the link-up, as will any post that is offensive. (I do not see that happening, but I need to say it.) See the first post for a the full description of needlework.

- Please place a link to the most current Summer Stitching Stash Blast in your post so other stitchers can find the link-up.

- Show the other bloggers some love by visiting them and leaving a comment. We all know how hard it is sometimes to finish a project. A little encouragement may be just what she needs to complete her project.
