My Sunday Best #2

Happy 4th of July!

I had every intention of putting together a quick blog post yesterday, but when it came down to writing or taking a nap during my free time the nap won. The funny thing is that while I napped I had a dream that I met Rosie for lunch at Panera, and we had a lovely conversation about Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey and vodka. Obviously, my mind wanted me to blog and join Rosie's link-up, My Sunday Best

Almost every Sunday, I have one of my boys take a picture of what I wore to Mass, but then I never manage to blog about it. Once, I shared it on Instagram. I don't want to neglect this space,  and since I am finally starting to have more energy, I am making time for my three favorite hobbies, knitting, exercise, and writing occasional blog posts. I have three blog posts planned for this week. Although don't get too excited; they aren't thought-provoking, just updates on life.

Now, on to my outfit. I recently purchased this Motherhood Maternity dress from Kohls. I love how comfortable it is, but I almost didn't buy it because of the unflattering stripes. But as the majority of the maternity clothes that I had to choose from at Kohl's were striped, I decided to get it. With my apple shaped body, I should probably avoid dresses, especially striped, flowy dresses.  But they are so comfortable, that my desire to be comfortable outweighs my vanity.

The flip flops are Skechers. I bought them a couple of weeks ago from Sam's Club. I never wear flip-flops to Mass, but I had to yesterday. You can't tell from the picture, but my right foot is swollen and very sore. I fell down a short flight of deck stairs on Saturday. I landed on my belly and managed to twist my foot/ankle pretty good. Thankfully, the baby is fine, and no bones are broken. But there was no way I could wear my sandals to church.

21 weeks, 4 days

So there you have it. The non-fashionable, but very real me. Praying you have a blessed and happy week!
